Testing out soil moisture sensors made from plaster of paris and nails. Only 2 out of 4 held together to be tested, when made with the rubber tube as a mold. Dried the dirt in the oven:

Then I added 1/4 cup of water to each cup of dirt. While the sensors picked up the mositure in the dirt, they because somewhat insensitve after that, not detecting the change as the dirt dried:

I need to make AC resistance meters, shown here:
