Tomatoes looked pretty bad after 2 weeks in Sonoma, so I trimmed the tomatoes to within an inch of their lives. Totally removed the disappointing Beefsteak plant, since it had no tomatoes worth anything on it any more. The pruning of the Yellow Old German tomatoes really worked to ripen them, so I'm hopeful.
Also picked some tomatoes and Jalapeno and Red Mexican Peppers to make salsa today. The tomatoes are a bit tougher now, and the pepper are getting white blotches on them
